Snow Removal

Snow removal responsibilities in Flint Hill Manor are shared by the Association (Flint Hill Manor), and Homeowners.

Areas of Responsibility for the Association

The following streets are maintained by Flint Hill Manor:

• Granite Creek Lane
• Graystone Court
• Silverstone Court

Areas of Responsibility for the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT)

Flint Hill Manor is not permitted by the state of Virginia to operate plows on VDOT maintained roadways. VDOT has the right to impose a fine on the Association for plowing on these streets or roadways as an unauthorized contractor.

The following streets are maintained by VDOT:

• Flagpole Lane
• White Granite Lane

Sidewalks

Homeowner Responsibility

• Mailboxes - clear a path for the postman
• Sidewalks - clear a walking path along sidewalks abutting your private property
• Parking spaces - the Association will not clear individual parking spaces

Please clear snow and ice from the sidewalk abutting your property. It is not yet required of Fairfax County homeowners to remove ice and snow from the sidewalks abutting private property, however, it is encouraged. The Association will not clear ice and snow from sidewalks and falls to the responsibility of homeowners and residents to maintain sidewalk snow removal.
